Terms of Service
Welcome to Barracks Life. By creating an account or using the app or website, you agree to these Terms. They're a contract between you and Gay Veterans Inc. ("Barracks Life", "we", "us"). Read them.
1. Eligibility
- You're at least 18 years old.
- You're legally able to enter into this contract where you live.
- You haven't been previously banned from Barracks Life.
- You're not a registered sex offender.
2. Your account
You're responsible for everything that happens under your account, so keep your password safe. Don't share your account, don't sell it, don't impersonate someone else, don't use someone else's photos or service record. One person, one account.
3. Acceptable use
Don't:
- Harass, threaten, dox, or stalk anyone.
- Post nude, sexual, violent, or graphic content.
- Use the app to solicit or sell anything (including OnlyFans / cam links).
- Spam, scam, phish, or run a fake profile.
- Claim a service record or rank you don't have. Stolen valor is a permanent ban.
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the app's operation.
- Use Barracks Life for any illegal purpose.
4. Content you post
You keep ownership of your photos, posts, and messages. By posting, you give us a worldwide, royalty-free license to host and display that content within the app and as needed to operate the service. You can delete content anytime — when you do, the license ends, with limited exceptions for moderation records and backups.
5. Verification
Verification is voluntary. If you submit service documents for the Verified Vet badge, you confirm those documents are authentic. Submitting fraudulent verification artifacts will result in a permanent ban and may be reported to authorities.
6. Paid features
Some features (Plus, Premium) are subscriptions billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Cancellation and refunds follow the policies of the store you purchased through. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends.
7. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms — usually after a warning, sometimes immediately for serious violations (threats, stolen valor, sexual content involving minors, etc.). You can delete your account anytime from inside the app.
8. Disclaimers
Barracks Life is provided "as is." We don't guarantee you'll find a match, that the app will be available 100% of the time, or that other members are who they say they are (we work hard to verify, but no system is perfect). Always meet new people in public, tell a friend, and trust your gut.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Gay Veterans Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from your use of Barracks Life. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the prior 12 months, or $100, whichever is greater.
10. Disputes
Disputes will be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis in the State of California, except for small-claims court matters and IP disputes. You waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action.
11. Changes
If we update these Terms materially, we'll notify you in-app and update the effective date above. Continuing to use Barracks Life after notice means you accept the changes.
